This proven track record begins with her studies at Western State University in Fullerton, CA. While a fulltime law student, she worked part time for various law firms. She also tutored students on academic probation and mentored incoming law students. During her studies, she received numerous accolades. These accolades focused mostly on criminal law and criminal procedure including the Witkin Award for Academic Success.
Later, in 2001 after graduating from Western State University she worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles Public Defender’s Office where she assisted trial attorneys. She also drafted Writs for a specialized unit designated to research cases involving testimony of police officers who the Los Angeles Police Department terminated because of falsely testifying and planting evidence. After passing the California Bar Examination, she worked as a Deputy Public Defender and represented people charged with misdemeans and serious felony cases.
In 2005, she began working in the private sector. After going into the private sector, she worked for a small law firm focused on representing clients for driving under the influence in both the criminal courts and the Department of Motor Vehicles. In 2017, she created a boutique law firm representing clients in criminal and administrative matters.
